Our Terms of Service prohibits the upload of content that infringes on intellectual property rights, including copyright and trademark. Users are not allowed to publish or otherwise distribute content for which they do not have the authorization.
We take claims of copyright infringement seriously and respond to such notices in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (the “DMCA”) and other applicable intellectual property laws. For more information, please refer to our DMCA page.
If you encounter content that infringes your copyright, please see our Copyright Process for instructions on submitting a copyright infringement notice. These requests can only be submitted by the copyright owner or an agent authorized to act on the owner’s behalf. Please make sure to include all relevant URLs and any additional information that will assist us in processing your request.
DMCA Takedown Request Process
Once submitted, your request will be assigned to our copyright/DMCA team. We will only act on copyright takedown notices that fully comply with the DMCA or other applicable intellectual property legislation. If our team concludes that your request does not comply with the minimum requirements for a valid takedown, we will reach out to notify you.
Upon receipt of a compliant DMCA notice, the copyright owner’s name or stage name, where requested, will be displayed on the disabled content page. The uploader of the allegedly infringing content may receive the information contained in the DMCA takedown notice and/or the actual DMCA Notice (including your personal information). By submitting a DMCA takedown notice, you consent to this disclosure.
We may action these requests by removing, blocking or disabling access to the material in question and by terminating the Creator’s account on Fancentro, where applicable.
If we remove or disable access to material in response to such a notice, we will notify the Creator who uploaded the content, providing them an opportunity to submit a counter notification.
Protecting Your Work
Creators or copyright owners may consider fingerprinting their content to help prevent unauthorized uploads. We use the MediaWise® service from Vobile®, a third-party digital fingerprinting system, to identify and block unauthorized uploads. Videos uploaded to Fancentro are compared against a database of digital fingerprints maintained by MediaWise to help us identify infringing content.
If you wish to have your content digitally fingerprinted by Vobile, you can contact them directly via their website.
